The aim of the present study was to compare the marital infidelity and emotional intelligence for the divorced and normal marriedcouples in Ahwaz. The research method was a cross-sectional of comparative analysis. For achieving this goal, 60 divorced and 60 married people were selected from Ahwaz randomly and in view of age, educational status, duration of marriage and other criteria considered in this research were matched. Then the questionnaires of marital infidelity vatly brand and emotional intelligence of Cibria shearing were completed. For analysis the data MANOVA was used. MANOVA test results showed that there was a significant difference between the two groups in terms of the marital infidelity and emotional intelligence. Also the rate of marital infidelity in divorced subjects was significantly higher than normal group, but the rate of emotional intelligence (EQ)in divorced group was significantly less than normal couples.
